Lety Veytia

Program Manager (DORS)

Lety Veytia has been a member of the METC team since 2014. She serves as a Program Manager for DORS trainings, managing trainings for Individual Providers in the state of Illinois. One of Lety’s favorite parts about working with METC is empowering members with knowledge and education to integrate in their work and everyday life. Lety’s favorite trainings are Mandatory and New Hire Orientation trainings, where participants get important information and tools for their jobs.

It is not by coincidence that Lety is passionate about adult education in the Homecare field, her immigrant Grandmother and Mother worked as Homecare workers, witnessing firsthand the importance of this job and the need for preparing and setting up Homecare workers for success. Lety previously served as a Program Coordinator for Continuing Medical Education at Rush University Medical Center, where she worked for 12 years.

Lety has a passion to work and advocate for the Community, she is proud of her culture and advocates for Mental Health and language justice and access. Lety is currently working on her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Latinx Mental Health. She is the recipient of the Global Distinction Award at the School of Professional Psychology for her involvement and passion in the Mental Health field.
