Celia

Technical Support Specialist (OLSS)

I joined the SEIU Helen Miller Education and Training Center as a bilingual Technical Support Specialist. In my role, I support workers and staff with technological access, troubleshooting, and systems training, helping ensure members can successfully participate in METC programs and services.

I hold a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University with a minor in Finance and am a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified by the Project Management Institute. I am currently completing my master’s degree in accounting at Saint Leo University, further strengthening my expertise in business operations, finance, and organizational systems. Prior to my current position, I served as a Program Assistant at METC and later as a Staff Accountant with SEIU HCII, which has given me a deep understanding of both worker needs and internal organizational processes.

One of my favorite parts of working at METC is helping members overcome technology barriers so they can focus on their professional growth. I am especially passionate about empowering workers through education and access to resources, and I believe that knowledge and support create lasting change for families and communities.

Outside of work, I am a dedicated mother and lifelong learner who values personal growth, education, and community impact. I enjoy supporting others on their career journeys and am motivated by helping people build stability and opportunity through training and workforce development.
