Leyah Cannon has served as a Program Assistant with SEIU METC since November 2022. She is a member of the METC Child Care team and works directly with providers that live in the Chicagoland area and surrounding cities such as Rockford and Springfield. Leyah’s favorite part about working with METC is being able to use her marketing background to inform providers on the monthly classes that METC offers as well as our special programs such as the Smart Start Grant. Bringing Books to Life is Leyah’s current favorite training because it is interactive and teaches providers how to get the most out of story time with their students.

Leyah is very passionate about building relationships with providers and using innovative marketing techniques to do so. Leyah is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. where she developed her love for community service and volunteer work.
