Kenyetta Nicole Holmes

Program Assistant (DORS)

My name is Kenyetta Nicole Holmes. I have worked as a Senior Data & Admin Processing Assistant with SEIU METC since 2018. In November 2023 I was promoted to Program Assistant for the METC Homecare (DORS) team. I am a member of the METC Homecare (DORS) and Child Care Team and I process stipends for our PAs and Child Care providers who completed their training. One of my favorite parts of working with METC is my phone conversations with our members. My favorite training for workers is the “Working with a Consumer Who is Depressed” training. This one is my favorite because depression has become more common, in both children and adults, so we must recognize the signs of depression and inform people when it is time to seek help.

My husband, children, and I were all born and raised in the Humboldt Park area, so I am very enthusiastic about the community. It has always been very crucial that I send my three daughters to great schools, so they receive the best possible education. I became a parent advocate and contributed to the development of a new high school in my community. I also volunteered to help high schoolers register to vote. Later, I received a Parent Advocate award, for my focus has always been to provide parents with as many options as possible for their children. From 2000-2013, I worked as a coordinator at Rush University Medical Center for the Continuing Medical Education Department. Moreover, I loved taking care of my amazing grandmother, taking walks on the 606 and traveling the world with my husband and daughters.
