I live my professional and personal life using the quote by an admired ancestor Maya Angelou. That quote is “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”  I am enthusiastic about Social Justice issues that impact all communities. Instructing and supporting Personal Assistants as a Training and Outreach Specialist will allow me to help to empower and uplift the entire community.

I volunteer and work with Dementia Friendly Washington Heights, and Dementia Friendly Illinois. I am also a Dementia Champion which allows me the opportunity to present to members of the community. In my spare time I like to spend quality time with my family and friends. I love to travel, read, and cook. I especially like to cook and prepare food from diverse cultures.
