I am excited to join METC in the education program for caregivers and proud of the union support it provides for them. After working with students with disabilities and encouraging them to reach their fullest potential, education is my passion. I believe that all people have the right to live their best life as independently as they can, and METC caregivers continue to ensure this.
During my career, I sent oil presses to Malawi, Africa, to help local women work closer to home. I am most proud of starting a non-profit in my school district that provides gently used clothing items to students free of charge and for the installation of a washer and dryer so that students can have clean clothes to wear to school as needed. My free time is spent with my two sons, my dog, and being part owner of a volleyball club. I love being outside as much as possible and playing board games.
