Child Care & Early Learning
The Helen Miller SEIU Member Education & Training Center (METC) is pleased to offer classes that help home based child care providers achieve our training and development goals. Please note: For child care classes, we’re currently only offering trainings to the main family child care provider.
Homecare
The assistance with household tasks and personal care that DORS Personal Assistants (PAs)/Individual Provider (IPs) provide to persons with a disability is critical for them to live independently. PAs/IPs bargained and won a paid training program as part of their contract with the State of Illinois. Actively working PAs/IPs can earn while they learn life-saving skills, safety precautions and other skills that help them provide better care.
