Course description
This class offers a compassionate space to explore the many forms of grief and how we experience loss across cultures and identities. Participants will learn about the stages and cycles of grief, as well as the emotional and physical impacts it can have. The class also emphasizes that grief is not linear and honors diverse grieving processes. Practical tools and community-based strategies will be shared for navigating personal and collective loss.

- Understanding the nature of grief and loss and their impact on mental health
- Defining individual and collective grief
- Recognizing and normalizing common reactions and emotions to loss
- Providing tools and resources for self and community care and promoting resiliency

Additional Resources
After I took the Nutrition and Exercise for People with Physical Disabilities class, I learned how to prepare a variety of nutritious meals, and encourage movement when possible within proper doctor guidelines. This course was very informative!
